Voice Actor For Hire

I'm doing massive amounts of voice work for free to pad my portfolio.

I have recorded and produced more than 300 podcasts and have quite a bit of experience with microphones and recording software. I also know a few other guys that I have great comedic timing with if you need exchanges between characters that sound like friends.

I also have a son (9yo) and a daughter (7yo) that do voice work as well and are pretty good with direction if you need kids.

Here's how to get me to do voice work for you:
1.		Send me an email
	»	Send it only to me, not a mass email. Sign it with your real name. Not a nickname. Make sure the subject line reads 'Voice Request for Your Project Name Here'.
	»	Make sure to include the script and the role you want me to play. Give me a synopsis of the character and the type of voice you want used.
	»	If you aren't sure of whcih role or want to give me a choice of roles, please outline the name of each role and give a synopsis of the character so I can choose much easier.
	»	Make sure the role/name is clear in the script. (Don't ask me to play 'the soldier' if you call him 'Smith' in the script.) I don't always read the entire script, so I'll usually read the first couple pages to get a feel for what's going on and I read the bits where I'm acting against another character to try to have the correct context. (I use document search for this.)
	»	Spell phonetically hard-to-say words. (If I've never seen cinnamon, I'd probably pronounce it KIN-AMON, not SIN-UH-MON. Likewise if you've got a villan with a name that's not used with some regularity in the English language, be safe not sorry.)
	»	Look at my calendar. (Click through and look at the week tab for best comprehension.) Propose a couple days and times (Eastern Time/GMT -5 [Time Zone Converter]) this/next week to get together on Skype/Phone and record the lines. (I don't do lines on weekends.) I want you on with me because if you tell me you need something faster or with more emphasis, etc. This way the lines are perfect the first time. I hate redoing lines a few days later for changes.
	»	Send an add request via Skype. Use your real name and tell me you're a director/etc. and the project you're on. If you do not have and are not willing to install Skype, send me your phone number (Only USA and Canada) and I'll phone you at the time we agree on. If you do not have/install Skype or provide a USA/Canadaian phone number, I will not work with you.
2.		I will confirm or deny via email
	»	I'll agree on a date and time and mark it on my schedule. (You'll see this time blocked off now on my calendar.)
	»	I'll ask any questions I have here.
3.		I will meet you at the agreed upon time
	»	I'll record the lines on my end in high quality as I speak to you for the best takes recorded live.
4.		I will prep the lines package
	»	I will combine the following in a single zip file for you:
	a	Our recorded conversation so you can hear your coaching.
	b	The original high quality WAV file of just my end.
	c	An enhanced version of the above WAV that most people prefer to use.
	d	I will upload the zip file to my secure server overnight.
5.		I will send you an email with the package URL
	»	When I queue the upload to my server, I'll send you an email with the destination. Since the file packages tend to be big, I upload them overnight.
	»	The following morning, your package will be ready for download at the URL I provided via email.
	»	The package will be removed about a week later.
6.		Credit me
	»	In the credits, credit me as Walt Snider and list my website address: www.WaltSnider.com
	»	If you do not credit me, I will not work with you in the future.
7.		Upload the video to me
		Provide me the high quality video file final product. I will give you an FTP account on my secure server and teach you how to upload (this will take less than 15 minutes of your time, the upload itself could take a couple hours so do it overnight). This is for my personal portfolio. I will also have rights to reproduce and edit the video file (strictly for purposes of displaying it in my portfolio and creating a montage of my work, nothing more... you still retain all the rights, I'm looking to build my portfolio, nothing more). I know I could simply link to YouTube, but they have ads and comments that can be negative at times and I don't want other people to see these things and associate them with me.

• American English Only
• None/plain accent
• Voice Types: mid-range, low/bass, guttural/gravely (soldier), leader, subservient
• Impressions: Gay (normal/over the top), Southern, Passable New Yawk, radio announcer/infomercial (normal/over the top)
• Self-proclaimed great sense of humor
• Articulate speaker (People commonly will say 'tess' instead of 'test', etc.)
• Able to do improvisation
• Very computer savvy, so can FTP files, etc. (Have Skype, Audacity)
• Can NOT sing... well

My Requirements:

1. You link to my website in the credits (www.WaltSnider.com).
2. I get a copy of the high quality render (not just YouTube quality) of the final movie. (You can upload it to my FTP server if nothing else. I'll provide instructions if you need them.) I don't care if it's 2 gigs, I still want it.
